All application materials must be received by May 9, 2010 (12 pm, JST) to be considered. Notification of acceptance will be made by the middle of May 2010. The application should be prepared in English and applicants should do the following:
- Complete and sign the application using the provided form (download word/pdf), and send by airmail or as an e-mail attachment.
- Arrange to have two reference letters, preferably from your current supervisor and your departmental head, prepared using the provided reference letter-form and sent directly by the referees (not by you) via airmail or as an e-mail attachment. If the letter is sent by e-mail, we prefer that referees use their e-mail account at their academic institution.
- Arrange to have an official transcript of your academic record, from the institution you currently attend, sent by airmail or as an e-mail attachment. Note that successful applicants might be asked to later send a hard copy of the official transcript.
